Whitman Youth Football Rookie Tackle

This program is non-contact

About: This program is designed to introduce young athletes to the game of football.  This program is intended to be fun, informational, and provide great exercise.  Rookie Tackle players will learn the importance of working as a team, exercise, stretching, football skills, and of course the game itself.  Our goal is to instill confidence and self-esteem for our young players all while learning the great game of football.

Who can play:  This program is for 5 and 6 year old boys and girls.  All players must be 5 years old by September 1st 2021 and cannot be 7 years old before September 1st 2021.

Schedule:  Monday evenings for 1 hour each week.  This program will run for 7 weeks.

Equipment:  All players will be given a WYF jersey with their last name on the back.  Cleats or sneakers are the expected footwear.  Mouth pieces will not be required but are required for contact football and would help players get used to playing sports with a mouthpiece in.  Coaches will use WYF equipment such as; cones, tackling dummies, contact pads, and many more.  All players should bring their own water bottle every week.

Cost:  The cost of this program will be $50 per player for the entire program.  This includes each players jersey they will be able to keep.

This program is designed for anyone who is interested in learning the game of football in a fun environment with our great coaches.  We hope to see you and your players for our Rookie Tackle program this year!
